Genesis GV60 Range: EPA Estimates by Trim and How to Get More
How far a GV60 goes on a charge depends on the trim, the weather and how it is driven. This guide uses the GV60 page on genesis.com for the 2027 EPA-estimated range of each trim, and the 2027 GV60 owner's manual on owners.genesis.com for what affects the distance to empty and how to stretch it, both read October 28, 2026. Other model years can differ.
What is the range of a Genesis GV60?
Genesis lists EPA-estimated driving ranges of 306 miles for the 2027 GV60 RWD, 282 miles for the 2027 GV60 AWD and 267 miles for the 2027 GV60 Prestige AWD, based on a fully charged battery and for comparison purposes only. Genesis says actual range will vary with vehicle options, driving conditions and habits, the vehicle and battery condition, battery temperature and outside temperature.

What affects your GV60's distance to empty
The 2027 GV60 owner's manual says the distance to empty on the cluster reflects many factors, so it can be higher or lower than the certified figures. It lists four:
- Driving habits: high speed driving, or frequent accelerating and decelerating, reduces the distance to empty.
- Power usage: as additional power use rises, such as the air conditioner, heater and lights, the distance to empty falls.
- Driving conditions: snow, rain, strong wind or low temperature reduce it, and so do uphill driving and slippery or rough roads.
- High voltage battery energy: proportional to the state of charge, but it may vary with battery temperature and the battery's state of health.
The manual also says the distance to empty differs depending on which drive mode is selected, and that it may change significantly when a navigation destination is set, based on traffic and driving speed.
GV60 range in winter
Cold lowers range
If the high voltage battery temperature is low in winter, the manual says the distance to empty reduces, but it is not a permanent change. It increases again once the temperature rises.
Heated seats over cabin heat
Especially in winter, the manual says reducing heating and using heated seats instead can significantly increase the distance to empty.
Battery conditioning
When the battery is too hot or too cold for good DC charging, battery conditioning brings it to a suitable temperature so DC charging performs as it would at room temperature. It can run when you set a DC charger as a navigation destination or waypoint, and the energy it uses may shorten driving distance.
Battery care
The manual says using AC charging as much as possible helps keep the battery in optimal condition, and that if you do not use the vehicle for a long time you should charge it at least once every three months.

Genesis tips for getting more range
The 2027 GV60 manual lists these tips for enhancing the distance to empty:
- Avoid speeding; air resistance increases rapidly as an electric vehicle drives faster.
- Gradually press and release the accelerator; rapid acceleration uses a lot of energy and rapid deceleration limits regenerative braking.
- Set the cabin temperature to 72°F (22°C) AUTO level 2, and turn off the air conditioner or heater when you do not need it.
- Use recirculation mode instead of fresh air mode when the climate system is on, and use the DRIVER ONLY function when driving alone.
- Close the windows while driving.
- Always maintain the specified tire pressures and use tires for electric vehicles.
- Do not use unnecessary electrical components, carry unnecessary items or mount parts that increase air resistance.

Range tools in the GV60
The GV60 cluster shows the distance to empty at the bottom of the instrument cluster while driving. The manual also describes a range guide that shows the distance to empty, calculated from previous driving data and the current charge, alongside an estimated distance to empty based on energy used since the start of the current drive, with a green bar when you are using less energy than usual and an orange bar when you are using more.
If the distance to empty has dropped because the car has learned your recent driving, the manual says it can rise again as you drive following its tips. It notes that resetting learned driving patterns at a service center may increase the displayed figure but does not increase the actual distance. When the high voltage battery level warning light appears, Genesis says to charge immediately at a nearby charging station.
